Source control / shedding reset€22.99
Remove loose undercoat at the source before it reaches your surfaces.
Rounded stainless steel teeth work through medium to long coats without pulling or irritating skin. Use 1-2 times per week to reduce visible shedding across your home.
- Removes 90% of loose undercoat at the source
- Rounded teeth — no pulling or skin irritation
- Works on all medium to long coat types
Which size is right for your dog?
Both sizes have two sides — one for detangling knots, one for removing loose undercoat.
For small & medium dogs
Under 12kg (25lbs)
Best for dogs you can comfortably hold or lift
For medium & large dogs
Over 12kg (25lbs)
Wider blade covers more area per stroke
How to use each side
Wider-spaced teeth work through knots and tangles without pulling. Use this side first.
Closer-spaced teeth remove loose undercoat in bulk. Use after detangling.
Not sure? Go with Large — the wider blade works on all coat sizes.
The friction this solves
Shedding doesn't stop at the dog. Loose undercoat migrates to every surface in your home. The only way to reduce what ends up on your sofa is to remove it at the source.
When to use this tool
- Weekly grooming sessions (1-2 times per week)
- Seasonal shedding transitions (spring/fall)
- After baths when loose hair is more accessible
- Before trips or events when you want reduced shedding
When NOT to use this tool
- Not for daily surface cleaning (use The Everyday Brush)
- Not for short-haired breeds with no undercoat
- Not for floor cleanup (use The Floor Sweep)
- Not a replacement for professional grooming
How it fits your routine
Step 1 in Fur Control. The Rake is the starting point — reduce volume at the source, so the Brush and Sweep have less to handle downstream.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I use the Rake?
1-2 times per week for most breeds. During heavy shedding seasons (spring/fall), you may want to increase to 3 times.
Is it safe for my dog's skin?
Yes. The rounded teeth are designed to glide through the undercoat without scratching. Always rake in the direction of hair growth.
What breeds is it best for?
Medium to long-haired breeds with an undercoat: Golden Retrievers, Labs, German Shepherds, Huskies, Spaniels, and similar. Not ideal for short-haired breeds without undercoat.
How is this different from The Everyday Brush?
Different tools, different jobs. The Rake works on the dog to reduce shedding. The Brush works on your furniture to remove hair that's already there.
Can I use it on a wet coat?
Best used on a dry or slightly damp coat. After baths, wait until the coat is mostly dry for best results.
What pet owners say
Based on 1,638 ratings
"My golden sheds year-round. After a session with this rake, the sofa stays cleaner for days instead of hours. Incredible difference."
"I was skeptical about another grooming tool, but the undercoat comes out in clumps without hurting my husky. She actually sits still for it."
"Night and day difference compared to regular brushes. This actually gets the loose undercoat out. My cocker spaniel looks amazing after each session."
"Waited to take photos until grooming time — look at how much undercoat came off in one session! Gentle enough that she just napped through it."
"Wish I had bought it earlier. My Westie doesn't love being brushed, but this rake is gentle enough that I was able to remove a huge amount of dead hair without any fuss."
"Excellent quality. I recommend going gently — the teeth are rounded so they don't pull, but you still want to be careful with sensitive areas. Works beautifully on long coats."
